Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or playing Soundwave ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Game. These terms apply to all players regardless of platform or region.

License to Play

Mantle Software grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to play Soundwave for your own personal entertainment. This license does not include:

• Copying, distributing, or reselling the Game or any part of it
• Modifying, reverse engineering, decompiling, or extracting game files
• Creating derivative works based on the Game's code, assets, or design
• Using the Game for commercial purposes without written permission

Ownership

Soundwave, including all code, art, audio, design, and game systems, is the exclusive property of Mantle Software. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Purchasing the Game gives you a license to play it — it does not transfer any ownership of the Game or its intellectual property.

Online Features & Chat

Soundwave includes real-time online features including global leaderboards, versus mode, daily challenges, and community chat. By using these features you agree to:

• Not use hate speech, slurs, racism, harassment, or threats of any kind
• Not impersonate other players, moderators, or Mantle Software staff
• Not attempt to exploit, cheat, or manipulate leaderboard scores
• Not spam, flood, or disrupt the chat in any way
• Not share personal information of others without their consent

Mantle Software reserves the right to ban, mute, or restrict any player from online features at any time without notice for violations of these rules.

Cheating & Fair Play

Cheating of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to manipulating game memory, using external tools to alter scores, exploiting bugs for competitive advantage, or bypassing Steam ownership verification. Players found cheating will be permanently banned from online features and may be removed from all leaderboards.

User-Generated Content

Any content you submit through the Game (including chat messages, usernames, and leaderboard names) must not be offensive, hateful, or illegal. Mantle Software reserves the right to remove any content at its discretion. You retain no claim over submitted content once it enters our systems.

Data & Privacy

Soundwave collects minimal data necessary to operate online features — including your Steam ID, display name, scores, and SR rating. This data is stored securely and is not sold to third parties. Chat messages are stored temporarily for moderation purposes. By playing online you consent to this data collection.

Discord Rich Presence data (your current game status) is shared with Discord if you have Discord open. This is controlled by your Discord privacy settings.

Updates & Changes

Mantle Software may update the Game, these Terms, or online features at any time. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify players of significant changes through in-game notices or Steam announcements.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Soundwave is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Mantle Software does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free gameplay, or permanent availability of online features. We are not responsible for data loss, score resets due to technical issues, or downtime of online services.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mantle Software shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Game. Our total liability in any matter related to the Game shall not exceed the amount you paid to purchase it.

Termination

Mantle Software may terminate or suspend your access to online features at any time for violation of these terms. The license to play the Game's offline features remains unaffected by such termination.
